Love is a conscience decision…
You want to know what it looks like when a friendship becomes so much more? Meet Victoria and Parrish! I have personally known Parrish for a long time. In fact, we were in the same second-grade class and have been friends since. So this engagement session was extra special for me seeing my friend so very happy.
Victoria and Parrish met with me at Arlington Hall, then moving to Turtle Creek and finishing up their session at Lakeside Park. Read more of their love story below.
Victoria and Parrish, finish this sentence: Love is… – Selfless. Beautiful. It’s the experiences you go through with each other. The questions, doubts, anger happiness, excitement and curiosities that you learn of each other as well as yourself. It’s the growth and encouragement you feel with from soul mate. It’s the vulnerability and gain of trust you feel with them all at the same time. Love is a conscience decision to never hurt them and to protect them from anything that could.
Parrish, how does Victoria keep you smiling? – When I think about what a force we are… Victoria and I met 11 years ago while I was waiting for my oil change at the dealership, where she worked. There were detours and distractions along the way but through her friendship, I found my best friend. Timing is everything. That sporadic road gave me time to grow and learn what is most important in life. (It just took us 15 minutes to determine how long…lol –>) The end of this year we will celebrating “3” years together and will be married next September. I find myself looking into space smiling all the time. My thoughts…how much we have accomplished in this short time together, as a team. I get excited about our future!
Victoria, what do you love most about Parrish? – His mind. It is intricate and wise. Just when I think all of his marbles are officially lost, he surprises me with all of his knowledge and wisdom. Haha I’m kidding but he seriously does stimulate my mind like no other and makes me feel ways that I never thought I would. He has a way of digging deeper into my thoughts and soul and it challenges me to be the better person that I always strive to be. He encourages me to pursue my dreams and see things in more ways than one. He is my Rock… Marbles and all.
Parrish, what are you most attracted to in Victoria? – If I could describe Victoria in one word, it would be, Zest. Our relationship has grown over the last 11 years and it’s been the one thing that has always stood out to me. Her zest for life and how she interacts with everyone and everything, says so much about her character. Her constant quest for the positive in any situation, teaches me to be a better man, every day. As a young boy, my grandfather taught me how to find beauty in everyone and everything. They would have loved each other.
Victoria, how do you guys keep each other’s hearts? – We communicate! Life changes. It’s these awesome and sometimes painful life experiences that make you feel one way about something and then a totally different way shortly after. It’s important to talk and share those feelings with your best friend. The one who understands you the most. Parrish is that best friend for me. It never gets old because I mean… who doesn’t want to run and tell their bestie everything at the end of the day?! We support each other because we love each other and we are a solid team. We are honest with each other and ourselves. His unique and open mind makes him the most accepting person in my eyes. We don’t judge each other on our insecurities or faults. We are human.
Congratulations Victoria & Parrish! I’m excited to see your love story blossom… and I’m break-dancing at your wedding.
