I’m Seeing Some Amazing Artwork Here… The Stuff On the Walls Looks Cool, Too…
I have to give major props to Benzi George for pulling off one of the greatest surprise wedding proposals I’ve been a part of… other than my own of course. So here’s the set up. The proposal was set to take place at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. Benzi told Justina that they were doing a photo shoot at the museum to be featured in a “Date Night at the Museum” newsletter. He sold it pretty good even getting the museum staff involved, and it just so happened that I was in town with my family for our son’s soccer tournament.
In fact, he sold it so well that even I thought I was at the museum to do a photo shoot for their newsletter. Maybe he told me… maybe I don’t hear so well. Either way, I was in full “take awesome photos” mode and probably took more time than I should have, but they’ll have some great photos to share. So all in all, this turned out to be an engagement session in the truest sense of the phrase! Let’s begin…
The Proposal
We reached the 4th floor, Roof Terrace, where Benzi had an amazing surprise awaiting Justina. He took her by the hand and walked to the east side of the terrace. Benzi asked Justina to sit, and he proceeded to wash her feet as he paraphrased from John 13 (Jesus washes his disciples feet) and shared stories about their relationship. They held hands and stared into each others eyes as he told her how she changed his world… and how much she means to him. Benzi then dropped to one knee and…
Aww, they are so adorable! Absolutely LOVEEE the pictures! =)
This is awesome! What a creative and romantic way to propose. These photos show the beautiful couple and what a great place the OKCMOA is to make a special memory.
